CLAN CHALLENGE INTERNATIONAL OPEN TOURNAMENT 2001

The Clan Challenge was held on Sunday 9th September, 2001, in the Bell's Sports Centre, Perth. Many thanks to everyone for their outstanding support, with special mention to all of the Temple clubs and the many members of the Moray Black Belt Academy who competed so well. This year there were cash prizes for the black belt challenge and the team event, £50 for black belt section and £100 for the team event.

The success of a tournament is due to the combined contribution of the organisers, the officials, the coaches, the competitors and the spectators, all together, creating an atmosphere in which the best performance in all can be brought out. This, hopefully, creates a memorable event that was enjoyed by all. We thank the valuable contribution from all those that participated and hope that you enjoyed the tournament.

CLAN CHALLENGE RAISES £500 FOR CHARITY

Temple Martial Arts are demonstrating that martial arts isn't just about keeping fit and learning to defend yourself by going out and showing they can make a difference in their local communities.

Temple Martial Arts have now joined the UK Black Belt Organisation which raises awareness and contributes to such projects as anti-drugs and charity fund raising. As part of this initiative, the Clan Challenge raised over £500 for CHAS, the Kinross Children's Hospice.
